Roadmap
What's live, what's next.
Everything that finds the money is live. The part that spends money is not built. That is deliberate: Reserver holds a read-only role until the read-only product earns more.
Why we ship in this order
Trust is the product, so we earn it in stages.
Reserver asks for an IAM role into your AWS account. That is real trust, so we earn it in order. We ship the read-only half first: connect, scan, match, and price. We add the role that can spend money only after that half works well. See how the two roles stay separate on the security page.
Live today
Shipped, and running for every connected account.
Everything below is running in production today, not a demo.
M1
Connect an AWS account
Link an AWS account with a read-only IAM role. Reserver never asks for a key or a password.
M1
Scan the running fleet and owned reservations
Scan every connected account for running RDS, ElastiCache, and EC2 instances, plus the Reserved Instances you already own.
M1
Utilization sampling
Sample trailing CPU, network, and connection metrics per instance from CloudWatch.
M2
Match reservations to instances
Match every owned reservation to a running instance the way AWS billing actually applies it.
M2
Coverage map
Show coverage by service, region, and account, with idle reservations flagged.
M2
Coverage drift detection
Compare each scan against the one before it, and flag an instance that lost its match.
M2
Expiry radar
Track every reservation's end date and flag terms that expire soon.
M3
Purchase recommendations with the math shown
Price every coverage gap and show the on-demand rate, the reserved rate, and the break-even date.
M3
Rightsizing caution before you buy
Flag a recommendation when every contributing instance peaked below the CPU threshold over the trailing window. Missing utilization data is never read as idle.
M7
Old-generation detection and upgrade flags
Mark a recommendation as old-generation, name the current-generation families that replace it, and suppress a recommendation once you flag that family as one you plan to leave.
M3
Notification channels
Register and verify an email channel. It cannot send an alert yet.
M0
Team roles and invites
Invite teammates and assign an owner, admin, or member role.
Building now
In active development, in milestone order.
Nothing below executes yet. We are building each one, in the order listed.
M3
Notification delivery
Send an alert to a verified channel: a new recommendation, an expiring term, or a weekly digest.
M4
One-click purchasing
Execute a purchase from an accepted recommendation through the AWS purchase APIs.
M4
Approval flows
Require a human to approve a purchase before it executes.
M5
Renewal autopilot
Re-buy an expiring reservation automatically, on the same or updated terms.
M5
Scheduled purchases
Buy an accepted recommendation on the schedule you set.
M5
Age-based rules
Reserve an instance automatically once it passes an age you choose.
Next
On the roadmap. Not started.
Not started. We list it anyway, so a visitor can plan around it.
M6
AWS Organizations enumeration
Discover every member account under one AWS Organization from a single connection.
M6
SSO / SAML
Sign in through your own identity provider instead of Cognito's hosted login.
Post-M5
AWS Savings Plans
Cover AWS Savings Plans, a spend-based commitment separate from Reserved Instances.
Questions
What today's role can and can't do.
Can Reserver buy reservations for me today?
Not yet. Reserver already finds the recommendation and shows the math. It does not execute the purchase today. Reserver is still building one-click purchasing, renewal autopilot, scheduled purchases, and age-based rules. We ship the read-only product well first, on purpose. See what is live and what is next on the roadmap.
Which AWS services are covered?
Reserved Instances for Amazon RDS, ElastiCache, and EC2 at launch. Savings Plans, OpenSearch, Redshift, and other reservable services are on the roadmap.
What happens when a reservation I own expires?
Reserver tracks every reservation's end date. On Watch you get notified ahead of time with a renewal recommendation. On Autopilot, renewal purchases can happen automatically under the policy you set.
Stop overpaying for a steady fleet.
Reserver is in early access. Join the list and we'll onboard you as capacity opens up. Your first recommendation lands within minutes of connecting.
