Reserver covers AWS Reserved Instances today: RDS, ElastiCache, and EC2. Everything below is on the list and not yet shipped; we'd rather say so than imply coverage we don't have.
Savings Plans
Compute, EC2 Instance, and Database Savings Plans are a different commitment shape (spend-based, not instance-based). Not yet supported.
Amazon OpenSearch Reserved Instances
Another AWS reservation type, not yet scanned or matched.
Amazon Redshift Reserved Nodes
Same idea, different service. On the list, not shipped.
Other cloud providers
Reserver is AWS-only today. Azure and GCP reservation equivalents are not supported.
Questions
Coverage, asked across all three.
Can one reservation cover more than one of these three services?
No. Each Reserved Instance ties to one service, one family, and one region. A reservation bought for RDS never discounts an EC2 instance or an ElastiCache node. Connect all three services and Reserver tracks each one on its own coverage map.
Which of the three should we reserve first?
Reserve the steadiest, longest-running fleet first. A reservation only pays off once the instance behind it keeps running for the whole term. Check each service's own page for its median discount before you decide.
Does the term end the same way on all three?
Yes. Every Reserved Instance on RDS, ElastiCache, and EC2 runs for a fixed one-year or three-year term. None of them renews on its own. Usage reverts to the on-demand rate the moment the term ends. Reserver's expiry radar tracks every reservation's end date, on whichever service you connect.
Does covering all three services cost more?
No. Reserver prices its plans by the number of connected AWS accounts, not by service or reservation count. Every plan carries unlimited reservations, so covering one service or all three on the same account costs the same.
